Rolex Vintage Sky-Dweller Models
The Sky-Dweller is Rolex's newest line, launched less than a decade ago. Rolex could create a modern watch with the Sky-Dweller because it was a brand-new timepiece at the time of its debut.
Consequently, Rolex has produced a timepiece that is both huge and intricate. Let's look at how the Rolex Sky-Dweller Model has evolved throughout the years.
History of Rolex Sky-Dweller Model - Introduction
In 2012, Rolex introduced the Sky-Dweller watch at Baselworld. As a result, it was the most eagerly awaited timepiece as Rolex registered the name "Sky-Dweller" weeks ahead to announcing a brand-new watch collection, so word got out.
Watch enthusiasts and collectors alike were speculating on what this new timepiece will look like.
Below are the things that most intrigued everyone:
- People thought it was a sports watch, and while it is, due to the fluted bezel, it resembled a Day-Date more than anything else.
- Furthermore, it was only accessible in precious metal!
- However, the "weird", off-centered disc on the dial and the small rectangular apertures over each hour were the only things that distinguished this watch as truly distinctive.
- People were also fascinated by Rolex's double time zone and yearly calendar.
All in all, the Sky-Dweller had a terrific reaction. In retrospect, we realize it was a classic from the very beginning, and as a result, the Rolex Sky-Dweller is sought after by the world's most famous people and watch collectors alike.
